Presenting the Modern Skyscaper

I’m a self proclaimed modern skyscaper (hmm...wonder if there is such a word...). I google-ed it up and there was no such word, although the term ‘skyscape art’ sure does exist. Skyscape art depicts representations of the sky, especially in a painting or photograph (taken from Wikipedia @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyscape_art ).

So, there is such a thing and its ART! So, am i an artist? Hardly. I just am so fascinated by the effect that the sunrise and sunset has on the skies and love to take photos of these amazing sights.  One may ask, when do i get the time to take these photos, do i allocate some time everyday for this? No, I take most of these photos on my handphone camera when i’m on the road, stuck in traffic, on my way to work and back home. So, that is why you might find the pictures will not be of top quality and some will even have the specks of dirt (thanks to the dirt on my car’s windscreen). Not all the pictures are taken while in traffic, there are some that i’ve managed to take during vacations, at home and specially dedicated sunrise/sunset photo shoots with my dearest hubby and our set of photobug buddies.
Here are some of the skyscapes, there will be more to come, do come back to view more of my art pieces. J

The commuter station train announcement board at the Shah Alam Station:

The below picture was taken at my apartment's lift display panel:-

The lift to the fifth floor goes in the left direction. I wonder if it will lead me to Hogwards.

Marketing Gimmicks

KFC Breakfast in Reality

Have you seen the KFC breakfast advertisement on the billboards around town? To be more specific, the "A.M Cheezy Egg Bun". Most probably you have, if you haven't seen it yet, here's how it looks like:

I know the resolution is not so good because i took it with my Handphone camera... but doesn't it look just fresh ,succulent and so mouth-watering? It does, doesn't it? Well, me and my husband one day went  (hungry) to bite into this juicy cheezy egg bun, but what this is what we got:

Hmm....Talk about marketing gimmicks... This is more like the "Cheesy" bun. The taste was ok, nothing to shout about. Well, i guess no one would want to buy this if they advertised the real picture.

Menu of the Day – Taa Daa !

The chickpeas took sooo long to cook, I had it over the stove boiling for about 1.5 hours., and it was still a bit hard in the end. Only after that did I find out that I should have soaked the chick peas long before starting to cook them, Duh ! Well, it did turn out quite well and tasty, but did not have the “melt in your month” sensation.

Nevermind, lesson noted. Well, both of us enjoyed the food, so I guess, I’ll keep on experimenting :-) .
Next mission, to cook some new dish aka experiment for my mom. :-)

Pink Pink Pink !!!

Thank you Estee Lauder for all the wonderful efforts made to spread awareness of Breast Cancer.
One of the recent and publicized efforts was lighting up the Sultan Abdul Samad building and the KL Tower in Pink, yes pink ! According to the news, they have also lit up many other famous landmarks all around the globe including the Burj Al Arab (UAE), the Empire State Building (United States) and Tokyo Tower (Japan) to name a few.
For those who did not have the privilege to see our own pink Sultan Abdul Samad , we have taken some shots of it for you to witness and be amazed of the magnificence.
The very sight of it was absolutely breath taking, or the way my husband declared “Like someone poured a magical love potion over the building”. It certainly looked like fairy land. Feast you eyes on these pictures.

Bro's B'day....aka another photography session ...

Well, it seems that i have found something to blog today.. and tommorow... and that's it though for now...

You see, we celebrated my brother's birthday some time ago (i won't say when), and me being me, ok ok, and my husband too, (kalau tak mention, merajuk pulak), never go anywhere without our DSLR (mengada la tu.., actually not, we're trying to make most of every moment, i'll tell you why later..hei !, i've just got another idea to post, "The story behind why we carry our camera everywhere we go" he he he.. ).
Hmm.. it seems like i've gone out of topic yet again... anyway, where were we?.. Yup, my brother's birthday, so i took some shots with my DSLR ( he he, it's nice to say that, sounds so hi-tech). This is one of it, the picture of his half-cut birthday cake. If you're trying to figure out what cake it is, it's from secret recipe and it's not a cake !!! it's the Chocolate Walnut Brownie.. cool huh?? Well, i guess that was a very good idea (my mom's actually) to get the brownie instead of a cake, and the best part is, that was the first time there were no leftovers.
So, until my next post ( which will not be long, since i already have ideas to for the next two days of blogging :-) ). See ya.

New to blogging...

New to this blogging stuff.... what should i blog about???
Any ideas? ... any one?... hmm....
If you can give me ideas on what to blog, that would be great (for me :-) ).
I'll upload some pictures every now and then, as you see, i am an aspiring photographer.. erhm erhm...
but i'm not sure of the rules of blogging,.. is it ok if i just post what i feel like? Hmm...
